October 2012

October started with picture day at school for the kids, but I wanted to take a few pictures at home first.

A few days later we went up to Larch Mountain to shoot guns with our friends Vanessa and Adam, and their kids, Liliana and Korbin. Preston only shot the BB gun, Ash shot the 9mm, and Nick and I took turns shooting the 9mm, AR-15, and a shotgun. I love the shotgun!!! The kids all did great and we all had a really fun time together.

We got the kids some pets - 4 goldfish - one for each of us. Unfortunately, 2 of them died later that night, so Nick went out the next day and got 3 more. It's been almost a month now, and all 5 are doing great....but check out the last picture of the fish...they all line up facing north and will hang out in that form for hours at a time....Odd!!

My beautiful daughter is almost 10 years old!!!

Great drawings by my kids for me. They are so lovely!!

Preston had a day off from school so I took him to the playground for a bit. We had fun playing together and racing down the slides!

My son can finally read and he gets better and better every day!  This is the first book that he read all by himself - Biscuit's Day at the Farm. I'm so proud of him!

I helped Preston's class on their first field trip to a small farm/pumpkin patch. I had 4 kids in my care, including Preston. They were so well behaved! It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad I am finally able to help out in my kids' classes!!

I accidentally jammed my finger/finger nail in to my eye when I was half asleep. sigh. It hurt really bad!

 Carving pumpkins - Fun!

Preston was unhappy with his drawing...

So daddy tried to fix it...

And Preston ate some Cocoa Puffs instead

Our final pumpkins!

Preston went trick-or-treating as a slice of pizza and Ash went as a Zebra. So cute!

They got lots of candy (which Preston ate in 2 days!!!!)

Excited for November - birthdays, the presidential election (which sucked!!) anniversary, & Thanksgiving! Good times!
